Occupying an ochre painted Renaissance building, which has
been providing lodging to guests to the Eternal City since the
mid 15th century, the Hotel Sole al Pantheon, as its name
suggests, overlooks Rome's awe inspiring Pantheon and lies 500
meters from the Piazza Navona. The eye catching lobby, decorated
with replica 17th century frescoes, imbues the hotel with a sense
of history while reflecting the historical prestige of its
central location. Of the hotel's 31 air conditioned guestrooms,
25 are located in the main building while an annex opposite the
Pantheon houses six apartments. All guest rooms include
complimentary Internet connections, long windows and high
ceilings. The classically decorated rooms feature prints, antique
furniture and marble bathrooms with power showers, jetted tubs
and minibars.
Guests can wake up to an American style breakfast in the dining
room or outside on hotel's interior patio terrace, where climbing
plants and tall potted palms provide shade and cool and enjoy
cocktails and drinks later in the day in the intimate and
informal bar. Complimentary daily papers and a laptop with
complimentary Internet access are on offer in the spacious
lounge, which features large leather sofas arranged around an
open fireplace and a terracotta tiled floor. Practical amenities
include round the clock front desk service with a safe deposit
box and nearby pay parking. Hotel guests are offered discounted
access to the facilities at a nearby fitness center. Guests will
find themselves within walking distance of the major attractions
of central Rome, Capitoline Hill and the Trevi Fountian are less
than a kilometer away, while the Forum, Coliseum and the Spanish
Steps and are within two kilometers of the hotel. Rome Fiumicino
airport is 26 kilometers distant.

The Leonardo Express train connects Fiumicino Airport, also
known as Leonardo da Vinci Airport, with Termini Station, which
is a two kilometer taxi ride from the hotel.
Rome's integrated transportation system includes trams and buses
(ATAC), subway (metropolitana) suburban trains (FM) and coaches
(COTRAL). The Roman city center is easily explored on foot. Rome
justifiably has a reputation as one of the most dangerous places
to drive in the world. Its narrow streets and relaxed attitudes
towards traffic regulations make it a challenge for even the most
experienced drivers
