Location. The Hotel Trevi consists of a pair of 19th century
palazzos at the intersection of two quiet, narrow streets, and is
set back from the crowds going to and from Rome's famous Trevi
Fountain, 100 meters away. Rome's Ciampino Airport is 24
kilometers away, while Fiumicino Airport is 30 kilometers
away.
Hotel Features. Because virtually no pedestrians use the streets
outside the hotel, guests can relax in peace on wrought iron
benches flanked by potted plants. The top floor roof garden,
where American buffet breakfasts are served each morning, is
another quiet haven. The roof garden's floor to ceiling windows
provide a partial view of Italy's presidential residence, Palazzo
dei Quirinale and views of terracotta tiled roof tops.
Guest Rooms. Hotel Trevi offers 46 air conditioned guest rooms
and junior suites in two six storey buildings on opposite sides
of a narrow street. Amenities include satellite television, mini
bars, dial up Internet connections and safes. Guest rooms have
blue carpets, yellow walls, matching fabrics, dark wood
furniture, including desks and high ceilings. Tiled bathrooms
contain walk in showers
Expert Tip. Citta dell Acqua, an archaeological site next to the
hotel, is an under ground excavation of ancient Roman residences.
A small entrance fee allows visitors to go on a self guided tour
up and down metal stairs to see how Romans once lived. Statute
parts, Amphorae and other artifacts found on the site are
displayed.
